Ground Breaker
Lincoln, UK
BRIEF: As a member of a three person team, an entry was created during the summer break. The competition sought innovative ideas beyond typical building design solutions. Designs had to be socially engaging, capable of reacting to unpredictable conditions and provide a service for its users through the use of spatial adaptation. Groundbreaker employed hydraulic rams to raise concrete platforms to create seating areas when required. The work was displayed as part of the ‘Living with Adaptive Architecture’ exhibition Nottingham Lakeside Arts Centre in 2018.
