The Phoenix Gate Workers’ Club

The project investigates countering political ideas presented through Chuck Palahniuk’s novel “Fight Club” and looks towards designing a socialist workers’ club and landscaped park located on the borders of the London Boroughs of Camden and Islington. The project unpacks the thoughts and feelings of the novel’s protagonists, and also the Bolshevik revolutionaries of the Soviet Union. The projects includes a cinema, art gallery, library, restaurant, gym and coffee shop all set within a landscaped park on an abandoned site in Clerkenwell, London.
